1. We Invented Waiting for the Internet (and Called it Progress)

Back in the day, connecting to the internet was a ritual. You’d plug your landline into your giant beige computer, dial-up would screech, and the connection would fail… repeatedly.

Each attempt felt like launching a spacecraft, and when you “finally” connected, every page loaded line by line.
