As a long term expat myself I still find it amazing how moving from one country to another can still bring unexpected challenges, even when you're already familiar with living abroad.

The assumption that a second international move should be easier can lead to a sense of unpreparedness when new obstacles arise.

I think this really speaks to the idea that every country has its own unique culture and hurdles, no matter how similar they may seem on the surface.
