As someone who had at various points over the last 20 years, tried to get Italian citizenship through "Jure Sanguinis", I have found the most difficult part for me was not finding the appropriate documentation in Italy, it was finding the appropriate documentation in the good ol' USA.

Between misspellings, conflicting dates, and navigating state and federal bureaucracies, I eventually gave up!
