Hey John! Thanks for the insider info. Yeah, the person I mentioned was definitely a tourist.

He was of Cuban descent from Miami and a first time traveler not only to Spain, but to Europe itself....

It's amazing how first time visitors to Spain often associate and confuse Spanish food, culture even language and expressions with those of Latin America.

I'm guilty of that as well. When I first went to Spain, I ordered a tortilla thinking it was like the Mexican tortilla (a flat pita type bread made from flour or corn).

However, I was basically served a potato omelet....
