I actually went to Club Med Cancun in 1989. Especially, after seeing the TV movie Club Med with Jack Scalia.

 Little did my early 20s self know I had virtually no chance of hooking up with a hot babe, since all the women, including the GO women, would only hook up with the guy GOs..lol.. 

Those beads were pricey, but a great place though, and the food was awesome!
