I love how you downplayed the whole smuggling history and tree ash drama with this line!

It’s like, sure, the intrigue of hidden treasure is great, but sometimes nature’s beauty just steals the show.

As someone who had often spent a lot of time up in Vermont (my family has property in the mountains outside of Rutland) I can totally relate to that feeling when the landscape itself becomes the real reward, even after expecting something more sensational.
