I think a lot of us have relied too heavily on emails as well as you point out. Assuming they’ll do the job when a simple phone call can often save time and headaches.

Picking up the phone might feel awkward or uncomfortable, but it really cuts through a lot of the waiting around and guesswork, which is especially valuable in freelancing where time is money.

It’s a good reminder that sometimes you just need to use the tools that get results, even if they’re not your favorite.
