If you're from the US why would you want to bother with a DNV anyway?

US citizens (for now anyway) can stay up to one years visa free. Then leave for 3 months to reset it.

Interesting note: about 2 years ago in an attempt to streamline their visa regime, they did away with that clause for Americans. This led many in a panic.

But in true Albanian fashion, they reversed it without much fanfare within a month or 2.

Lesson, visa rules and tax policies change all the time regardless of the country. So every Expat needs to keep on top of these not to be pushed off guard....
