It’s a great analogy to highlight how modern development can sometimes erase the unique cultural identity of a place.

It makes you wonder if the pursuit of global uniformity is worth the cost of losing local character.

Shibuya, like so many other places, risks becoming just another shiny shopping district, devoid of its original spirit.

It’s sad to think that the charm and vibrancy of youth culture are being pushed out by towering glass buildings and high-end brands.
