It’s amazing how a global sport like Formula 1 could so blatantly ignore the moral weight of its decisions for so long.

Racing in a country with Apartheid, while other sports took a stand, really shows how slow certain institutions can be to acknowledge their influence and responsibility.

It’s encouraging to see how much awareness and social accountability have evolved since then, though it took far too long for F1 to act.
