I've known a few people who have moved to Mexico and some have even retired there. But it's not all sunshine and margaritas.

What you save in costs and sunnier weather is offset by, corruption, lack of a rule of law, property rights, etc.

This is on top of being nickel and dimed overcharges (the Gringo Tax). It's not a lot, but it adds up and becomes annoying real quick....

Especially, when you begin to realize it's not the money, it's that the people doing it to you have no respect and look at you like a fool...
