Most people would do much better booking a great hotel in a great location closer to home than trasping off to some far off, overly touristed location just because they saw it in a movie or travel show.

By booking a nice hotel closer to home, they can relax, eat a great restaurants, even do some long postponed sightseeing.

It's surprising how much people miss out on in their own backyards.

For example, I lived in Southern California for 11 years and never went to Catalina Island....
