People still buy it, but like Medium you need to build up a blacklist of content (stories). Ironically, the niches that sell the best are the ones distributors like Amazon crack down on the hardest. You can give it a shot, there's always been free erotica content online, but erotica readers are a voracious bunch, with a seemingly boundless appetite, so that shouldn't stop you.
