So many of us are conditioned to believe that if we follow all the financial advice: save, invest, work hard, we’ll be secure in retirement.

But as you point out, life is unpredictable. Health issues, economic downturns, or even family emergencies can derail the best-laid plans.

It’s frustrating that the burden is often placed on individuals to "just work longer," instead of addressing the bigger, systemic issues that make financial security feel so out of reach.
