Thanks Denis! If I were you I'd stick to more regional cities (if you plan on visiting cities) like Boston, Savanah, Columbia or Charleston. In the west, Santa Fe, even Tulsa.

There are just so many places outside of the New York, Miami, LA and San Francisco traps most tourists flock to when visiting the good ol' US of A.

Renting a car and driving east to west might be another decent option.

It's very pricey, but if it's a once in a lifetime trip, it might be worth it.

Doing it by train? I've heard mixed reviews, but it might be worth it as well.

However, if you're used to European standards, you'll be in for a disappointment...
