There’s something refreshing about spaces where the usual social masks just don’t apply.

When you’re on a trail or at a hut in the mountains, everyone’s on the same level, stripped of those superficial layers we usually put on in everyday life.

It’s kind of funny how a setting like that, with Birkenstocks and socks, can make for the most authentic connections.

Maybe it’s because we’re more focused on the shared experience than the external appearances.
