This line really says it all when it comes to travel. It’s so easy to feel like you've "seen" a city when you've only experienced the curated, safe parts that are designed to impress tourists.

It’s a bit of an illusion, right? The freeway conveniently takes us to the nicer zones, while the more troubled areas stay out of sight.

I wonder how many of us form opinions about cities based on such limited experiences.
