This really gets to the core of so many issues that go beyond just crime statistics.
When communities lack basic resources, it creates a cycle that's hard to break, education and social support systems are foundational for stability.
It’s also frustrating to see that even though these problems are widely recognized, there never seems to be enough done to address them in a meaningful way.
More officers may help in the short term, but investing in the root causes would likely have a much more lasting impact.
