This really hits home. As a Gen Xer it’s such a relatable moment where you realize that time has moved on, and you're no longer part of that "in-crowd" you once belonged to.
The way you capture the emotion of feeling "left behind" really speaks to the point that it’s not just about missing the activities of our youth, but that sense of belonging and relevance we had in those moments.
On the bright side, I don't know about you, but I would hate to be a young person nowadays.
Ironically, one of the things I thought I would regret most would be the bar-hopping and clubbing.
But I see how young people interact, how they meet and "hook up", no real social skills, nothing without an app or a smartphone. They can have it!
I'm glad I did my "bar-hopping" up until the smartphone was created.
