This really hits on something we often don’t talk about when it comes to friendship. How much emotional energy we’re willing to give to someone who might need more support than we can handle.

I think we all know someone who’s been through a lot, and while we want to be there for them, it's important to recognize our own boundaries too.

It’s tough to balance empathy with self-care, but being honest about what we can or can’t offer is crucial, both for ourselves and for them.

In the end, some people may need more than we can give, and that’s okay, it doesn’t make us bad friends.
