Very true. Many people nowadays think that "escaping " the US is the answer to all their problems. Unfortunately, they don't realize how good they actually have it until they live somewhere else for a while.

Simple things, like rule of law, freedom of speech without getting thrown in jail for calling the President a moron, property rights, or simply not being hassled by the police whose sole reason for doing so is a bribe.

The longer I live outside the US the more I appreciate what it stands for, despite the current climate, most of it inflamed by political grifters on both sides and social media....

Americans need to understand their constitutional rights that they take for granted stops as soon as they cross the border...Unfortunately, some learn the hard way....
