You got me on the doctor's visits, but rents? Have you been to Strasbourg, Paris, Nice or even Marseille lately? Unless of course you're talking about the banlieues...

You mentioned you live in a village. I'm sure you could find cheap rents in most villages or in the US small towns that are quite affordable, even nowadays.

Oh and don't get me started on the banlieues, the national pastime of "car burning", I could on....

Misleading, I don't think so... In fact, I could've easily been more critical.

The problem with most pieces that talk about popular destinations like France is that they leave too much out and paint them out to be fairy tales. This article was an attempt to rectify some of that.

Like I said at the beginning of the piece "France is still my favorite country in Europe, bar none.."
