You sound like a brave soul. I must say that the NYC subway is the worst subway, metro, underground in the world, and I've been on plenty.

That being said this line I highlighted really hits home.

Isn't it wild how often we cling to the comfort of "what is" rather than risking the unknown, even when we know it's taking us nowhere?

It feels like we're all hardwired to avoid disrupting the status quo, even if that means staying in a situation that doesn't serve us.

Your story beautifully illustrates the simplicity of making a small change, and the clarity that often follows when we finally act.
